Cadillac CEO Johan de Nysschen says he's planning a "blitz" of new products to expand the Cadillac portfolio by 2020.
In an interview with Reuters, de Nysschen revealed that in addition to offering several variants of its forthcoming CT6 sedan, including a plug-in hybrid, Cadillac will also introduce a battery-electric vehicle and a successor to the ELR. These models would contribute to expanding the Cadillac product count "from five to 10 models over the next six years."
Still struggling to make ground on its German rivals, Cadillac is in the midst of a massive overhaul of its branding and business structure. In September, it was announced that the brand's operational headquarters will be moved to New York City in 2015 and that, beginning with the CT6, future Cadillac models will adopt and all-new naming convention.
